Juz a moment of thoughts!

My last entry was during Ramadhan! Imagine, that was like 2/3 months back! Well, that's how bz my life can be. But on the other hand, it is all about how you manage your time. So here I am, was updating my other blogs so thought I'd drop a few lines here.
Yesterday, I had a 'harsh' talk with my maid. She's going back soon as her contract is coming to an end. These past few months, her work has been sloppy. But I didn't make any noise. And she started making requests of hp, wanting to shop for family, wanting money to send home, to spend here before going home....goodness! I wouldn't want any confusion or argument about her pay later...so straight in her face I told her that no shopping no advance, NOTHING! I DO felt bad after that but I had to put things clearly right!
Then, later yesterday night, was talking to hubby about next year. Whether to get another maid or to send the kidz to childcare. Even though Aqil is now turning 2 but he's not close to his paternal grandma. Unlike Arisya and Ariq. Maybe because he's been taken care by my maid since infant!
And with my mother-in-law alwayz having pains especially her legs, its gonna be difficult for her to take care of Arisya and Aqil.
So, my decision has yet to be made. Was surfing the web for childcares and need to do some calculations as we are talking about 2 kidz here! Sigh! It is TOUGH being a parent!

'Projek Syawal' - update No. 2

Time for another update! Well, this was where my sofa used to be....somewhere in the middle of the living room. So I decided to move the sofa away and replace it with my dining table. Hehe! So here it goes...

Right at the top, there is a ceiling fan. So guests will be able to enjoy their food under the fan...hehe. And, if you notice the wall at the back there....remember the frames that I was supposed to get at Ikea??

I didn't get the frames! I don't know why but I went to both branches and the frames are juz not there! Thus, I brought down the frames and moved it to another wall...hehe. So the black frames will be up on this wall soon! Stay tuned!

'Projek Syawal' - update No. 1

This is actually a platform area. I had placed my dining table there for the past couple of months as you can see here. Well, I thus decided to move my dining table elsewhere...hehe. And this place was converted into a relax, cosy corner. I'd placed my kids' toys there for their convenience and also the guests' children's convenience. I used to placed my kidz' toys in the playroom but usually the toyz will still end up in the living room. Hence, the decision to just place them outside....easier for my maid to clean up too! Hehe!

Ta Da! Hehe! So here's the cosy corner. With lots of throw cushions to cuddle and toyz to play with. I have decided not to put any frames up on that wall for now. Erhm, maybe in the future??? Haha! And, yesterday, I went to Ikea@Tampines after breaking fast at home. Well, so far we have yet to break fast outside because we had just forked out a sum for our car repairs ;(.

So back to Ikea, I got some pine wood frames.....

I'd plan to put these frames up in the living room. Well, my kidz' pics will be given the honour of adding beauty to the frames...hehe. (The one thing that I am really grateful to God is to bless me with these beautiful angels!) So, took some black paint and started my handicraft!

And here are the frames after I did my magic! Wawahahaha....well, now will have to prints my kidz' pics, place them in the frames and put the frames up on the wall. Let's see what's the outcome.....stay tuned!

Money to be Spent!

These photo frames are on the walls leading to the bedrooms. And 2 of them actually dropped! Haiya! Now, I've got to go and get replacements from old friend, Ikano. Well, actually went there yesterday, the one at Tampines, but these kinda frames were out of stock. Looks like I'll have to visit another branch to get the frames......or....can I actually do something to these frames so that I DON'T have to buy again???? Now, that needs thinking! Stay tuned! Hehehe!

Time to Clean Up!

Goodness me! Again!...Well, it really takes a lot for one to keep a blog! Anyway, here I am after my disappearance...hehe.
Time flies! Its already the 17th day of the fasting month. And it is the September school holidayz, maybe that explains why I can afford the time to be sitting here updating my blog! Well, actually I have given myself a task. A task which I love doing and one that has to be done every year....Cleaning Up!
Yup, so this morning I woke up late...(tis the holz mah!)...and the urge to do cleaning up came inching its way to me...hehe. But I have got to do what's got to be done first that is to dispatch online homework to my pupils. So got that done and now back to my task....I looked around my living room and snapped some shots...wawahaha...well, it is afterall MY TASK!
I don't really make much cleaning up for the rooms as people who come for Raya visits don't explore the rooms unless the kpos....hehe. Anyway, the rooms are kept just as they are! So here's the snapshots of my living room.....

This is the area which is right in front of the main door. Well, the prams need to be removed from there! And maybe, I'll move some of the things there to give it a new feeling! Hehehe!

This is my 1st dining area which is in the kitchen....the table neeeds a tablecloth and maybe I'll change the position of the table....erhm....let's see what can be done!

And this is my 2nd dining area. This is part of the living room...a dining area for guests. How come the ball is there????....hehe. Anyway, need to spruce up the table...with flowers maybe. And the wall seem rather empty...how about some frames???.....and maybe new dried flowers by the corner there???.....(well, I am thinking!!!)

Cleaning Up - the sequel

Wawahahaha! Well, this is the sequel to my previous post. My living room big you know, even though I don't think it is reallt that big! Now, what am I blabbering???

Anyway, here are more of my living room that need to be spruced up!

I have placed my sofa somewhere in the middle of the living room and I think that kind took up the space available....so need to move that sofa from there! Ah Ah! Well, it was placed there because I was trying to create some space in front of the TV set so that my kidz can easily roll on the floor while playing and watching TV.

So, since I have to think of my guests now who will be coming for the Eid, I'll ahve to give up this cosy area for my kidz....well, juz for a month ya! So, my project Cleaning Up is still in progress....will update on the outcome! Stay tuned! Hehehe!

Ist Ramadhan 2009

Its 2.14am. My kidz are sound asleep and here I am finally writing again! Hubby still up to accompany me...though occupying himself with PSP. It was the 1st day of the fasting month yesterday. I am a little regretful as I was not able to welcome the blessed month with the rest of my family members. Nevertherless, I was all the way with them as in I didn't eat too though took several sips away from my children.

Ariq, the good boy he has always been started fasting. Syasya still a little too young...let her have another year or two. Ariq has difficulty waking up for sahur but he did anyway...crying all the way. He refused to eat anything so what he had was juz milk.

After his milk, he went back to sleep. He was ok throughout the day. Went out with hubby to buy food for breaking fast. Arisya and Aqil were having their afternoon nap. Ariq didn't wanna follow us and so it was juz the 2 of us. We had planned to go to JB but alas, had to postpone our plan as our car batt went dead as we were to move off.

Luckily a neighbour helped us to jump start our car! So off we went to Geylang and Bussorah Street to get the delicacies. As usual, lots of people! We managaed to grab some kuih and off we went to Cameron to get chicken rice.

We reached home around 6pm...and Ariq was starting to fidget. He kept looking at the clock waiting for it to be 7 soon. And when it did turn 7, he kept asking whether we can break our fast yet. My poor boy...hehe...so we tried to keep his mind occupied until finally it was time!

So proud of him! To be able to fast for a whole day was a fit!Last year he didn't managed to fast wholely for Ramadhan as the first few days, he gave up around noon!

So really hoping he's able to pull it through and make it for the whole month! Insyaallah!

Horror in Segamat!

Well, finally able to find the time to sit down and make an entry ;) Spent the weekend over at my sister's place in Segamat. It took us 2 hrs to reach Segamat. We waited for my sister at the Segamat Giant. After 2 hrs of journey, all of us search for the toilet. Not bad...the toilet there was clean.

My eldest sister and mum managed to do some shopping at Giant while waiting for my 2nd sis. After the little shopping, we waited somewhere near our cars for my 2nd sis. My mum was just suggesting buying ice-cream as the weather was quite hot when we heard "Chendol! Chendol!".

We all approached the Chendol Man...hehe....and ordered 15 bowls of chendol. It was the authentic one!....Superb!

My eldest nephew, Hafiz, had 3 bowls that my sis had to stop him! Hehe...superlicious! So, soon after, my 2nd sis arrived when we proceed to her home. It was a JKR Quarters for staff. Cool isnt it? Just look at the pics....beautiful homes...these were newly built and my sis was one of the few 1st tenants!

My brother-in-law is a JKR staff so their family have been staying at the quarters. Government staff were provided with home which they don't have to pay for as long as they are in service and they just have to move out if they leave the service. But in SG, we didn't even get discounts when buying HDB flats!

So, that was that....we went round the new area and were amazed as everything was FREE!...Everything, including the interiors which was fully furnished except furnitures ;) So the day went by....relaxing and enjoying family-bonding together.

So Ariq was bonding with his cuzzins too....hehe....he was running all over the place....sweating...and dirty...but I let him be as it was not everyday that he can do that ;) I was taking a stroll admiring the area when I SAW him fell and rolled on the ground!....I WAS SHOCKED!

I shouted for my hubby who was inside....Ariq managed to come running to me with he's face bleeding....so I didn't really see what was wrong....I juz can't look at him as I was SCARED! My hubby came and carried him inside....I got my mum to look at him.....I asked my hubby and mum whether he was ok....should we bring him to hospital....I was flusttering!

Hubby and mum managed to clean up the blood on his face....then was I able to see his injuries. His skin was peeled off his nose, forehead and arm.

Goodness!....My heart was in my mouth!.....Luckily, everything was ok....it was superficial...;)

SyaSya's Birthday

Halo Blog!...haha...it has been like 3 mths since I made an entry huh? Well, been bz....with school and kidz. Yeah...was it my timetable or was it juz me?.....erhm....well, maybe both. Even during this June break....been sitting in front of my comp for as long as I knew. Well, stop once in a while to play with the kidz before sitting in front of the comp again!

Managed to break off for the last 4 dayz....was bz with my girl's birthday party and brought the kidz out yesterday since hubby was off!

Didn't plan any holidays this June....hubby has expected the NO BONUS thingy thus we'd save the money....well need to pay roadtax which will be due! hehe

But we'll be going to Segamat to visit my sista who's given birth to her 4th child in May. She was previously staying in JB which was juz a stone's throw but now....it's multiple stones! hehe

Looking forward to it as all of us will be going.....it's gonna be ALL 7 SISTAZ being together! Next entry.....next entry.....hehe:)

At Last!

Goodness gracious! How long has it been since I last updated my blog :)...Been quite busy with work and kidz. Since Ariq entered Primary 1, life has practically changed for me! Now, I have to check for his homework and sit with him to do it. This will be followed by learning of spelling and ejaan....this is done veryday except the weekends. Tried teaching him all 10 words in a day but he couldn't take it...so had to do it a bit a day.
By the time I finished with Ariq....it'd be 9-10 pm,....did preparation for my lessons and other admin stuff....curfewed myself till 11.30pm. Had to stop and put my babies to sleep....hehe...especially Aqil...he only wants me....luckily hubby can handle Ariq and Arisya :)
And guess what....I'd continue with a bit more of my work before sleeping at 1 or 1.30am....yup, that's my sleeping time!
And everymorning dragged myself up to send Syasya to school which begins at 8am. My mother-in-law was willing to send her to school but my girl wants her umie!...So that's me for the whole of the past 11 weeks!

Ariq@School

Well, today managed to take a few pics of Ariq at school. Basically at school hall and during recess. He even looked at me and smiled for the cam! haha. Thought of taking candid photos....but here they are....my boy at school ;)

Kidz@School

Time really flies! Ariq is now in Primary 1 and Arisya is in nursery....gosh ain't I old! haha Well, today is the secaond day of school. Both my kids seem to be adjusting very well. Accept for a little hiccup from Ariq during recess on 1st day, other than that, so far so good. He seemed more cheerful at school today. He bought tidbits during recess with a smile on his face....maybe that's an achievement for him! hehe....well he's never got to hold money all this while ;)
Arisya too manage to adjust well in school. Though she seem to be in a world of her own...haha...but she's participating well in class....just look at these pics! Couldn't get to capture Ariq in school.....will try one of these days....by this week of coz! While he's still fresh at school...hehe
