Took a shot!

Sunday morning...still early with the husbern & kidz snoring away...hehehe! So decided to blog!
Yesterday I took a shot at baking a whole cake for the first time. And not just any whole cake, I tried to do a rainbow one! Muahahaha! You see...when my craziness relapsed, such things would happen. ;))
So went to get the baking stuffs...we went all the way to Leisure Park coz I thought of getting Betty Crocker's instant frosting but nay...not available. Disappointed!
But that didn't hinder my intention to bake. So I thought of just slapping lots of chocz on the cake instead of using any frosting. Nyehehehehe!
And again...another hindrance which ain't successful though, there wasn't any Nutella in the store at Leisure Park!!! Can you believe that??? Hence, I grabbed the chocolate & hazelnut spread by Delfi's. And it's nice! On par with Nutella...go and try if you have yet to. ;))
Haha! The taste was there...thanks to the chocz that was slapped on to it. But a lil bit out of shape...well, since it was just for home consumption, I didn't bother to make it look nicer? Nyehehehe!
Nevertheless, am happy with my first cake! There's always a first time...and one will never know the outcome if one doesn't try...right?

Trying out the flavors!

One bad of mine as a blogger...my posts are all back-dated! I can't seem to blog almost immeadiately...😢But to me...even though my English maybe broken as in imperfect, I still feel it is necessary to focus on what I wanna blog about so that my typing will be a smooth one.
So back to the story...well, after my first time baking, I decided to hv another go...this time wanna try peanut butter and also the banana topping as requested by the husbern. Yup, peanut butter & banana...the husbern's favz! ;))
As this time I baked at home...I had to go and buy the 'apparatus'! Haha! The other time was at my mum's thus I simply used what's already available there. Where do I get the baking stuffs? Phoon Huat! Lol!
And my darling one & only girl volunteered to help me with baking! Good practice since young huh? *winks*
Since I bought the small cuppies...I was able to get quite a lot of cupcakes! Haha! The family couldn't finish them all so I packed them and brought to work for the colleagues! Muahahaha! So what was their responses?
'I tried your cupcake...sedap!'
'Eh Aisah...must share recipe ah!'
'Wah! Someone has become a baker!'
Nyehehehehe! And those plastered a big smile on me face! Alhamdullilah...they ❤ my cupcakes! ;))

Finally! After 5 yrs!

Going for a haircut has always been a torture for Aqil. To him...it is like 'killing' him. He would be screaming & wailing & kicking & struggling.
We can't go to the hairdressers or those hair boutiques for kiddoz coz they are scared to cut his hair as he refused to sit on the chair.
The only places that are willing to just shave off his hair are the barbers. The moment we approached the barbers', Aqil would already started crying and wanna run away. Ayah had to grab hold of him and sat with him throughout the 'torturous' haircut.
And believe it or not, Aqil would be kicking & struggling throughout the process. I really salutes the barbers who had cut (shaved actually) Aqil's hair for the last 5 yrs! For a particular haircut, we'd had apologized for than thrice to the barber coz Aqil had kicked him. There were cases where his Crocs even flew off!
For 5 yrs, we are immuned to the stares of people whenever Aqil decided to be cranky in public.
And TODAY! He was due for a haircut again...too long...so we'd braced ourselves as per norm. But we were surprised by that lil sweetheart of ours when he didn't show any sign of protest . In fact, he willingly climbed up the chair and sat there quietly for his haircut! We were like...awed! Our jaws dropped!
Alhamdullilah...alhamdullilah...alhamdullilah! After 5 yrs...he is finally having a proper haircut!
The feeling we felt...or personally I felt was beyond words! It's like Aqil has been announced as the top student for PSLE! Hahaha!
Ya Allah! Thank you Allah! ~ We know you'll overcome everything in time to come sweetheart! ❤

1st time baking!!!

Ok...I'd better get this blogged before it become a history paper! Haha!
Well, as per norm, was over at my parents last Sun. Our weekly visit. And my lil babe was asking for cupcakes. But her aunt (my sista of coz) who always bake for her was out dating that day! Hehehe! Nah...she had a function to attend.
Well, I hv always envied those who bakes! Coz the cakes or cupcakes look soooo awesome! (And 'awesome' seem to be my fav word! )
Hence I thought..."Hey..let's hv a go at baking!" If my sista can do it...why cant I? Hehehe! But I am me...I didn't start frm scratch...I bought one of those Betty Crocker mix. Those are magic I tell ya! Lol!
As mentioned, I hv no baking background or experience what so ever. Hence I was kinda just playing around.
For deco & flavor, I decided to use nutella...well, who doesn't love nutella right?
But with just the nutella for topping, ye cupcakes didn't look appealing enuff. And so, I cut some strawberries & put them on top. Tadaaaa! Looks yummy & tastes yummy too! Hahaha!
And the husband actually asked if I can replace the strawberries with bananas! Yup...my husbern, the banana fanatic! Haha!

Mango desserts & fine dining at DaOn!

After the crankiness, Aqil actually fell asleep in his stroller. That's him! He just have to cry himself to sleep...:((
The sista has always wanted Korean food. Well, this is the Korean-crazy sista of mine! Haha! Pls pls pls...don't go to Korea to have Korean food, GO TO MALAYSIA! ;))
Ooppss before that, we had desserts! So we walked over from KLCC to Pavilion. Again this was recommended by my sista...mangoes for desserts! It is a famous HK dessert shop...they've got an outlet in KLCC too but we went to the one in Pavilion coz we just ate at Chili's. by walking over, we'd kinda burn a bit of the food we ate? Hehe!
Over at Da On, which is located at the top floor of Pavilion...the best Korean food ever!!! But of coz, it is fine dining hence the tab that follows is more than just fine ;))
Nevertheless, the desserts were fabulous but a lil too small the servings. The Korean food was fabulous too doubled by the awesome service provided by the waiters there. Thus the big tab that followed...it was worth it! ;))
