Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 ( Day 3 - 1/2 )

5 blog entries for 2 days in KL...muahahahaha! It'd be just weird not to finish it off with the 3rd and last day entry right? So woke up and started packing coz we'd be checking out. Let the kidz sleep while doing the packing, only woke them up to get them ready. There's only 1 huge luggage for 5 of us...yeah, the luggage is HUGE indeed! Managed to pack all the 2 days shooping loot into the luggage as well.
So we checked out & left our luggage at the concierge. We walked all the way to KLCC via the sheltered & air-conditioned walkway. It was abt 15-20mins walk and as it is air-conditioned....wah lah!

Barely 5 mins stepping into SURIA KLCC, we stopped by Jelly Bunny store. Its the jelly shoes!!!!! And these are much much CHEAPER than the Melissa shoes! Way cheaper I tell ya! The shoes are like below RM50. And the shoes were displayed all the way up the wall to the ceiling! You can go crazy looking at the shoes. Bought a pair of pinkies for meself and a red pair for Arisya.
They dont have junior sizes so luckily the smallest size fitted Arisya's feet! And the design of the shoes determine the size you wear....I can't fit some design coz of the small cutting.

These Jelly Bunny shoes are more for casual wear. Very simple designs but SUPER COMFY I tell ya!

Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 ( Day 2 - 3/3 )

And so from Publika, we headed to One Utama in Damansara. Aaaaggaaaaiiinnnn....I FELL ASLEEP in the cab! Muahahaha!It was also our first time there. I tell you...when the husbern drives....we dont get to go many many places....coz he'd say he don't know how to get there! Sengaja kan? Ergh!
Anyway, One Utama is one BIG mall! There's 4 department stores ~ TANGS, PARKSON, ISETAN & AEON. Fuyohhhhh! (oh...me sooo selnger rite?)
The first thing we did was to find the food court coz Aqil only had McDee fries for lunch. We were so glad that the foodcourt there is Food Republic...so that meant chicken rice for Aqil!

Remembered stepping into Cotton On Kids and 'borong' clothes for the kids! There was SALE and lots are going under RM10, RM20, RM30! WeeHoo! Next...another store that Umi went crazy was at GAP Kids! 50% STOREWIDE, not only that additional 10% for 3 items and additional 20% for 5 items or more! Hence...it doesnt make sense if I dont go for the best bargain rite? So again...weeeehooo!

Time flies when we enjoy what we are doing. So we had to stop the shopping and look for FOOD! Muahahaha! And since it was Friday...we just had to dine at Friday's! (ok ok....jgn marah larrrr) 

Free kids' meal for every main course ordered! But Ariq just had to make his own choice...ergh! He wants the ribs....and the kids' ribs meal ain't in the promo...so clever of my boy? The husbern had another round of ribs....not for me. Had a Surf & Turf which is a set of sirloin steak + charbroiled prawns. What I love about these kinda diners are the BOTTOMLESS DRINKS! Thumbs up!

And before we head back to the hotel, we 'tapau'ed some pretzels from Auntie Anne's and cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon! 

Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 ( Day 2 - 2/3 )

So parents and sistaz headed back home...to SG while we continued with our shopping. So from Sungei Wang Plaza, we took a cab to Publika. Heard that the place is quite new...about less than 2 yrs ago? Hehe! KL being KL...traffic congestion here and there. So me fell asleep in the cab ride...so did the kids!
Woke up to an alien place...Publika looks good...was excited to explore the place. We went inside and was surprised to see the place wasn't crowded with people. And the shops there...ain't much of a shopping paradise. We walked around and found the place to be very family-friendly! There are a couple of eating places with personalised kids area.
Took a ice-cream break at Baskin Robin's which of course was much enjoyed by the kids!

Then we entered British India outlet coz the word SALE attracted me! Hehehe! And wah lah! There was a 40% markdown...excluding the new arrivals of coz! The husbern love it....and so we bought!

What I find interesting here is the supermarket...if I remembered correctly...its named B.I.G! There's cozy corners where we can enjoy a cuppa tea or coffee, some pastries and cakes, sandwiches and seafood! Oh yes....even Royce chocolates! And we can even browse magazines while enjoying a cuppa! Lovely isn't it?

From there, we hailed a cab to One Utama. And as the cab turned...and went around Publika...we realised there was more to the place! We didn't cover the whole place....ergh!

Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 (Day 2 - 1/3)

2nd day was started by a wake-up call from the sistaz! Haha! As the kidz were still sleeping...I went for the rendezvous alone with the sistaz...and Abah! Hee! Mak was too tired from 2 days of walking...so she opted to stay at the hotel. Abah wanted to buy newspaper...hence he tagged along.

Upon reaching Lot 10, which is just beside Piccolo...Lia & Iqa headed straight to H&M. Me & Mira went to the ladies, Abah was supposed to stay around the open area. He wanna keep a look coz his daughters were separated then! Hehehe! From the ladies'...me and Mira went in to H&M via another entrance/exit, with that we missed Abah.

So all 4 of us were happily browsing and choosing clothes after which we made payment. We still think that Abah was waiting for us at the same spot....but NO! Abah wasn't there and we split to look for him around the building. We even called back to check if he went back to the hotel but apparently he didn't at the time of call. 

Thus we decided to head back to Piccolo...but lil sista made us stopped by Braun Buffel. Haha! She just had to get herself a bag which she still had not found then. So into the outlet we went...and finally she fell in love with a bag there! After the purchase was made, we made our way back to hotel.
And there Abah was, reading the newspaper! He was kinda angry at first but nah...he wouldn't stay angry for long with his daughters! ;))

From there, we went to Sungei Wang Plaza to have our lunch. Again Mak requested for rice so we had ayam penyet there. There an Ayam Penyet RIA outlet at Sungei Wang. The bald head owner was there...the same person we met before at the outlet in Lucky Plaza! Hehehe! So it was authentic Indonesian ayam penyet from Ayam Penyet RIA....lunch was filling indeed! And we didn't snap pics here....ergh!

From here, we split. Parents and sistaz had to head to the airport for their flight back home while we continued our shopping rendezvous for another day! ;))

Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 ( Day 1 - 2/2 )

While waiting for the parents and sistaz to wake up and get ready for shopping, we lepakz a bit. The husbern even managed to nap for a while! And so the first place we went to was Masjid India. Trying to be adventurous, we took the monorail from Bukit Bintang to Hang Tuah station. Then we had to change over to another line to go to Masjid Jamek station.

After a while, I think we barely spent an hour there coz it was too hot! We took cabs to go to Midvalley Megamall in Bangsar. On the way there, the kidz fell asleep in the cabs. And when we reached...they started being cranky especially Arisya. Aqil continued sleeping coz he was in the stroller, Ariq & Arisya had to wake up and walk...Ariq was ok but not Arisya! That's how pampered she is! Well. that;s the aftermath of an early flight...hehe!

So we headed straight to Tony Roma's for lunch once we reached. Ordered our food...Abah enjoyed the ribs but Mak didnt really like the food. Well, that's Mak...she prefer rice & noodles. The husbern volunterred to bring Arisya back to hotel coz she simply refused to walk. Ariq too went back to hotel coz he wanted to rest too, sleep that was! So the husbern & Ariq & Arisya headed back to hotel while we continued our shopping. 

From Midvalley, we headed to Pavilion for dinner and more shopping. As such, the husbern amd the kids joined us for dinner. And Mak requested for rice or noodles, we had our dinner at Food Republic. Love the place, the food quality is awesome! Thumbs up! Even Aqil loves the chicken rice. Aqil is very particular about food...so if he likes the food, we love it! Hahaha! For lunch, Aqil had fries from McDee...so it was good that he took to the chicken rice. 

Shop & Eat ~ KL 2012 ( Day 1 - 1/2 )

Made a last minute decision to join parents and sistaz on a shopping trip to KL. Did the bookings for flight & accommodation just a few days before that...haha! That's how crazy I am! Jetstar was having real cheap flights....we took the cheapest one at 0600hrs which was SGD2! Muahahaha! But flight back was a lil bit more but still cheap though! We want to make it worth the whole day thus we took a night flight back home.
We reached airport 0515hrs when our flight was at 0555hrs! Kwang kwang kwang! So we had to dash through the gate...hehehe! Of coz not but we did have to rush. And we arrived safely at KLIA at 0645hrs. It was still very early indeed and we knew the family would still be sleeping hence we had our breakfast at the airport first before headhing to the hotel.

It was about an hour cab ride from KLIA to Bukit Bintang, where our hotel is. We stayed at Piccolo Hotel which is between Lot 10 & Farenheit shopping complexes and just 5 mins walk to Pavillion. A very lively place hence it was never too late to stop shopping! Haha! 

As it was still too early, we cant check into our room yet. So we waited for the sistaz to come down & fetch us so that we can lepak at their rooms first! Hee!

As promised to Ariq & Arisya for behaving well and taking care of Aqil as the older siblings. Me..being busy with work & tuitions am always not at home most of the time. Especially during the sch terms.
So glad my kidz are able to understand. Told then of Aqil's condition and that nenek is already old to be running after them. They did their parts very well.
And for their studies too! I didn't send them for tuitions or enrichment classes. All was did on their own. I did help with some coaching in home works and when the exams nears...other than that, nope!
So...I think my kidz deserve these!
